This course gives students an overview and understanding of Hazardous Areas. This course is designed for people working in Hazardous Areas.

 

In this course you will learn about :

  • Different zones in Hazardous Areas
  • Equipment protection
  • Inspect and maintain equipment in Hazardous Areas

There is no funding currently available for this course.

There are no prerequisites to enrol into this course. You will just need to provide us with a valid ID (eg. Drivers Licence).

You will need to bring :

  • A wired headset or headphones
  • A notepad
  • A pen

You will also need to have an email address, a laptop and a reliable internet connection in order to complete the online theory part of the course.

Enclosed footwear must be worn at all times when you are on the premises.

Theory : 50% of the course, can be completed online from home


Practical : 50% of the course, to be completed in the office for hands on experience with the equipment

The requirements for granting this EEHA qualification will be met when competency is demonstrated and achieved for:

  • All the Core competency standard units, defined in the Core Competency Standard Units table below and
  • A combination of Elective competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 300 points in accordance with the Elective Competency Standard Units table below.
