ABOUT THE COURSE
This basic PLC training is ideal for electrician, electrical maintenance personnel and design engineers and those who want to familiarise themselves with programmable controller and automation technologies used in building, construction and industrial automation.
In this PLC Basic Course participants will learn about programmable logic controller (PLC) technology and industrial control devices used in automation.
The focus is on PLC hardware configuration and programming methods using basic logic functions. Functional requirements include operator control, status indication, alarms, and equipment maintenance policy.
In order to enrol in this course you will require :
- A valid Unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence
- A valid ID (eg. Drivers licence)
Electrical and Electronic engineers do not require Electrical Licence to enrol into this course however they must complete occupational health and safety module which is a prerequisite to this course and is provided at no extra cost.
1 day face to face practical exam, recommended training hours for an inexperienced electrician is 60 hours of self paced studying and online practicals
